At The International 1971 - Touchdown Productions

Touchdown proudly presents another - by now - totally unreleased/unheard show from the January/ February engagement 1971, recorded on the midnight show on February 20, 1971. The tracklisting is quite brilliant and so is Elvis. We worked hard to improve the sound quality and hope that you'll enjoy the result as much as we do. As usual the CD is accompanied by a full-color 16 page booklet with lots of rare photos and information on the event itself.

  1. Rough-sounding audience tape source won't make it's way into your CD player too often. Great performance with Elvis in a silly mood, introducing himself as B.B. King and teasing both band and audience. He gets serious with "Lovin' Feelin'" and rocks the "Polk Salad" with Ronnie Tutt. Good performances of several songs which would sound tired in later Vegas stints. More high marks for very credible versions of "Don't Be Cruel" & "Heartbreak Hotel"
